Wales (ウェールズ) is a supporting character in the series Hetalia.
Appearance[]
A Chibi version of Wales
Wales has blond hair. Like all of his brothers, he has thick eyebrows and green eyes. He appears to be the shortest of the UK brothers.
He can often be seen wearing a light-colored suit with a sweater vest under a darker coat.
Personality[]
Wales loves fantasy and magical creatures, especially dragons, his national animal. He's very friendly and approachable, sometimes may even come off as childish. He also has a 'creepy' side, shown when he was arguing with Scotland over King Arthur's origin.
Relationships[]
Scotland[]
Scotland is Wales' brother. They have a dispute over where King Arthur originates from, but other than that their relationship is fairly friendly.
England[]
Wales is England's big brother, as agreed upon by the United Kingdom brothers' house rules. He has spent a long time together with England, so he secretly believes he understands him the most. At the same time, Wales admits to never winning against Britain in an argument but believes that he can out do him in fantasies.
Northern Ireland[]
Northern Ireland is Wales' brother.

- Wales loves fantasy animals, especially dragons.
- In Chapter 413, he describes Benelux Siblings' Food Culture Exchange Event as 'fancy'. Then, he wants to do something similar with the UK Brothers, but after seeing all the 'dull colored food' and his brothers' behavior, he gets annoyed and calls them idiots.
- He sometimes makes silly noises, like 'boing'.
- He also appears to be annoyed that most people can name other areas of the U.K. without any problem, but he tends to be forgotten.
- Similar to Britain, Wales appears to have a flying bunny as a companion.

- ↑ His exact physical age is unknown, but historically speaking, it is likely he looks older than England. In a bonus comic posted on Himaruya's Twitter (Japanese; English), it is shown that he, Scotland, and Northern Ireland decided that England would refer to them all as "big brother" in exchange for him representing the whole UK at meetings, regardless of whatever their actual physical ages are.
