Welcome[edit source]

Hi Ramensushi56, welcome to Hetalia Archives! We hope you enjoy your time here!

Thanks for your contribution to the America/England page. To help you get more accustomed to the Wiki, here is a link to the Hetalia Archive Policies.

Please note that due to excessive vandalism across the Wiki, many of the high-traffic pages cannot be edited by new members. When your account becomes four days old, you'll be able to edit these pages freely. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, these are the new policies that we must adopt to keep this place as clean and factual as possible.

Make sure to read the page carefully before turning editing into a hobby, as we (the admins) take the rules very seriously. Be sure to keep in mind that we do not allow fan-art of any kind on this wiki, even for use on personal profiles.

If you have any questions, please leave a message on my talk page!

Re: Table of Contents[edit source]

I looked over the source code, and the reason why a table of contents wasn't appearing on the page was because it had __NOTOC__ written at the top of the article. That's a little line of code that basically forces the page to not have a table of contents (TOC), as usually they are auto-generated when there are multiple headings in a page. I went ahead and fixed it, so it should be good now!

I think the reason why that code was there was because the table of contents for the List of Hetalia: Axis Powers characters is really, really long (as you can probably guess from the amount of characters in Hetalia). The table of contents is always placed on the left side of the page by default, so having one there pushes the actual content of the article way down.

So in the future, if you come across an article that should have a table of contents but doesn't, it's probably because of that. You can fix it just by deleting the __NOTOC__ line in the source code. If the table of contents ends up making the page look funny, just add {{tocright}} at the top of the source code. That is a template that forces the table of contents to be placed on the right side of the page. That should fix the problem.

I hope that made sense...it's always a bit tricky to play around with the source code. I will see if I can get the character list page cleaned up so you can edit it in "Visual" mode. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me!
