Birthday! (plus more hidden pictures/stuff)

I'm 21 now D:. Hard to believe, eh? I'd say my birthday went alright though, nothing special but nothing horrible. I've started work on a Hetalia cosplay as well (Chibitalia), in the middle of studies and other things. Fabric's been cut, just needs to be put together. I'll be doing both his green dress and his brown one, both are quite cute!

As for the other subject of this entry? Here are a few more lost/hidden pictures:

  • British Waiter
  • British Waiter 2
  • British Waiter 3

Kitayume flashes (direct to site):

  • Poland/Lithuania Christmas flash
  • Germany and Italies Halloween flash

"Lost Comics" (direct to site, there's a lot):

  • A soldier wonders about France

Deleted Sequel to "Christmas Rampage":

  • Splash page to the deleted Christmas sequel
  • Page 1

Lost pictures of Kitayume: Pt.1

As mentioned in the last post, there are a number of pictures that are "lost" on the official Hetalia webcomic site...yet there are a bunch that are not fully lost, just hidden from public view. The first revelation came with the fanwikis, and with playing around with a few of the "hidden" picture filenames to see if there were any more.

2ch has been helpful in other spots, and a fellow fan discovered the entire strip set of MoeKan by playing around with a filename from one of the pictures done for the series (that looked like FemKorea, except with some differences in the design).

So here we go! I won't be hotlinking to all the images on Kitayume's server though. I'll upload what I can on Tinypic, to spare bandwidth. And of course, if there …

Kitayume rarities: Old Hidekaz Himaruya Q&A bits on UK

In the Japanese fandom this year, a few different fanwikis have surfaced on the internet. Some of these wikis have turned out to be a goldmine when it comes to lost images and information on Hetalia. Though Himaruya did remove several images from his site, a good portion still exist "hidden" in the site files (though others seem to be permanently gone, sad as that is).

Some Japanese fans also luckily took the liberty of archiving posts from the old Kitayume blog before its shutdown, and some of the text from those is archived on the fanwikis.

The most interesting of those "lost" questions have to do with the status of Arthur Kirkland ("Is he England or is he the UK?") and tidbits about his brothers, as well as a potential Ireland character. …

Random thoughts on some Hetalia: The Italies (Oh lawd, tl;dr)

I love this new blog feature on Wikia. Especially since it's a better way to air out random Hetalia or anime thoughts without pissing off a good chunk of my watchers or random people who "lose respect" for anyone who likes the series in any way.

One thing I love about the fandom is the "headcanon", in where individual fans can delve deep into what they think makes the characters tick, be it crack or serious with some historical backing or what would make sense to them for the characters. How nations live and die off, how human or inhuman they can be, whether they can reproduce or split off in any way, etc.

Then there is speculation as to what human issues would bug them, since they do have some indeterminate degree of humanity. To me, Italy …

Clearing out old dA somewhat (and woot, 1st post?)

I'm thinking of getting a new DeviantArt soon, mainly for any new art or works I might do. Mainly because I'm getting older, and trolls/stalkers have gotten to be pretty ridiculous when you've left behind one fandom, but they won't leave YOU behind (pff). I'm considering possibly keeping my old one as a cosplay account, but I dunno. I figure all changes will be in place by my 21st birthday, though.

dA really is only good for some art and some discussion though, IMO. It's been pretty downhill, and I don't really like the drama that carries over to there. I've had "that" name since I was 16, and I feel it's time to move on at least a little bit. The South Park fandom really went downhill, and I was involved in it for too long and a lot more t…
