Switzerland/Japan is an uncommon pairing involving the characters Switzerland and Japan. It is referred to as SwitzPan or SwitzerPan by fans.

Relationship[]

W.I.P

Speak Up[]

In the first episode, Japan announces his agreement with America's absurd idea, only to have Switzerland shouting at him to speak for himself.

In the episode where Japan, Italy, and Germany interviews countries on how their Christmases are spent, near the end of the episode, Japan is asked by the other Axis countries about how he spends his own Christmas. Japan remains silent, only to have Switzerland barge in, seemingly aggressively yelling at Japan: "Again? Speak what you think!" before going on a rant about what his own Christmas is about, before leaving and slamming the door.

Japan's Imagination[]

In Episode 88, Japan watches as Switzerland fires a rifle yelling "No trespassing!". Japan thinks to himself that Switzerland is quite different from what he imagined. The scene then cuts to Japan's imagination: Switzerland in a dress, while singing and dancing to "O, Vreneli" with Japan, who appears to also be wearing traditional Swiss clothing. It should be noted that in Japan's imagination, he sang the first line of the song, "O, Vreneli", which goes like this: "O, vreneli, my pretty one, pray tell me where's your home?" showing that Japan had, through the lyrics of the song, referred to Switzerland as "his pretty one".

Ep88

Episode 88, "O, Vreneli"

Another gunshot from Switzerland's rifle then interrupts Japan's thoughts and snaps him out of his daydream. The scene ends with Japan looking at Switzerland being fierce and holding a gun, before Japan smacks himself in the face, exclaiming, "Stupid me!", while a concerned Switzerland asks him what's wrong.
