Notes[]

  1. The Halloween 2011 event showcased a couple of big groups themed around fairytales and folklore, of which the Nordics were ghost pirates.
  2. This costume is based on an urban legend about the Toftaholm Herrgård in Sweden. The story claims that room 324 is haunted by the ghost of a man who took his own life because he couldn't marry his love interest, due to their different social status. Click here (English) or here (Swedish) for more information.
  3. Sweden was assigned the wight (vätte in Swedish), a type of supernatural being of small size and usually living underground or near a home. Note that the English word is very vague and may refer to many different entities. Click here (English) or here (Swedish) for more information.
