This volume focuses on the characters Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, who are having trouble falling asleep and decide to count sheep for each other and the listener.

All Nestled and Warm Together[]
Belarus and Ukraine stay at Russia's house due to the blizzard. The sisters insist that all three of them should sleep in the same bed for the night, which makes Russia uncomfortable. After a lot of bickering （mostly Belarus trying to force Russia into marriage) and reminiscing the old times while lying in bed, Ukraine offers to count sheep for the other two. Belarus keeps quiet, and Russia agrees.
Your Big Sister Will Count for You![]
Ukraine counts to 10 sheep. Russia compliments her counting and then reminds her about her debt. Belarus doesn't seem interested in Ukraine's counting. After Ukraine counts to 20, the siblings talk about Ukraine's counting and the gift that she has brought for Russia. Belarus sneezes loudly, which in turn makes Ukraine worry whether she's cold. Belarus doesn't complain. After Ukraine counts to 30 sheep, she says that she'll knit woolen mufflers for Russia and Belarus. Russia says that she shouldn't make one for him, but Ukraine doesn't seem to hear him. She eventually realizes that Russia already has a muffler and decides to knit a woolen cap, a pair of mittens and a sweater for him.
I Shall Count for You, Dear Brother[]
Belarus offers to count for the other two. After the other two close their eyes, Belarus begins counting. Once she hits 10, she asks for the others' opinions. They both liked it a lot. After some bickering where Belarus tries to force Russia to marry her, she counts to 20 sheep, mixing in the word "marriage" in-between, which Russia takes notice of. Belarus once again talks about marrying Russia, while the latter begins panicking. She counts to 24 sheep, counts 25 and 26 are related to marriage, and then she begins repeating something about marriage, which causes Russia to scream and cry. Ukraine doesn't really mind the whole ordeal.
GO HOOOMMMEEEE![]
Russia shouts about not wanting to marry Belarus, with the latter calling him a tsundere. Ukraine tries to think of something to calm them down, but Belarus doesn't listen, and Russia is panicking. Eventually, she offers Russia to count for her and Belarus. Belarus happily agrees and lies down, and Russia agrees reluctantly, after being eyed by his sisters.
All Right, I’ll Join in the Counting Too![]
After clearing his mind a bit, Russia begins counting. He reaches 10 and mentions how he feels quite embarrassed, but his sisters support him, complimenting his counting. Russia continues counting and hits 20 sheep. The siblings yawn after each other. Belarus mentions marriage once again, but Russia calmly denies her request. Once Russia reaches 30 sheep, his sisters fall asleep, sleep-talking about things that worry them. Russia finds their snoring peaceful, wishing to nap in a field of sunflowers with everyone someday. Belarus wakes up after hearing what Russia has said. She talks about marriage, and Russia screams for her to go home once again.
